Two Animals, No Reason

Two dogs had a fight
in the yard
over a bone.
One dog lost its life;
one scarred
but at home.

The Ghost Of Unthinking Kids

A flash of skin and danger;
small charge -
surfing the wave of cyber spaces.

- 9 years pass -

We regret to inform you that we will be passing on you for the position.

V.
There was a time when life was better.
When every line didn't start the same way.
When there was more than one direction left.
When there was more than nothing left to say.

C.
Hold me close and I might get lost.
I might forget. I might forgive (or be forgiven).
Hold me close or I might get tossed.
I might lose track, or might find a reason for living.

I Heard It Or Maybe Heard Of It

I listened to it, twice
   and liked it... or had no opinion.
Maybe I loved it,
   so much that it sits by the night stand
unused...
unheard of apart from a passing glance.
   Is this how my life is played?
Twice, with too much else to focus on?
unused...
unheard of apart from the passing glance.

untitled/unfinished

V.
We used to look into each other's eyes
without tears, without hesitation.
We used to share in each other's lives
without fears, without desperation.

C.
And now, thing have changed, been re-arranged
and there's nothing left to hold on to.
But then, things were there, before this tear
when nothing mattered but me and you.
...Will that ever be enough again?

V.
We used to open up each other's hearts
with love, with tenderness.
When lives got lost in body parts
with passion in every kiss.

B.
And it seems... that these broken dreams,
broken hearts and ripped up seams;
will never be mended.
But I know... that there's a hope,
a real chance - not just some joke;
we can last past this ending.

Time As A Point Of Flexibility

Time fell from the sky, like it jumped.
Reaching the pinnacle of speed,
it stopped
      backed up
           and fell again.
Time said, "I'm a yo-yo" and laughed...
out loud without abbreviation
or contempt
      for those
           not in on the joke.
